Head Coach & Owner
Jonathan's passion for fitness began at an early age. When he was 5 he asked to play hockey. His parent said "you don't know to skate". Response was "gotta learn sometime". From that day on he dedicated his life to educating himself on the art of physical fitness. Now he is dedicating his time to training people in Personalized Functional Fitness Programs at GLA that are specific to each individual. Through the years he has competed at an elite level of hockey playing for the Spruce Kings and NCAA Div 3 hockey with Neumann University in Aston, Pennsylvania. He continues to compete as one of the top athletes in Canada in the sport of functional fitness competing at the Canada West and West Regionals the past 5 years. Jonathan was also selected to represent Canada at the 2017 iF3 Championships with the Canadian Functional Fitness Federation.

From a young age Cassie has enjoyed being active, playing soccer,volleyball,basketball, wakeboarding, skiing and anything in between. She attended Thompson Rivers University, studying Sports Management and continued her studies in Charlotte, North Carolina studying Exercise Physiology. Between semesters she loved taking additional courses to improve her personal fitness which lead to becoming a Coach. Cassie's lively, positive energetic style makes her a great fit for GLA.

James Armstrong- Cormier
James is currently a student of Kinesiology at the College of New Caledonia and has experience as a highschool Rugby Coach. He is passionate about Olympic Weight Lifting and is extremely technically proficient. GLA is happy to have James for his knowledge base of fitness, weight lifting and physiology.
